What is iDocs Designer?

iDocs Designer is a powerful user-friendly forms designer for multi-platform environments including IBM iSeries provided by inFORM Decisions. It has simplified the forms design process while increasing the flexibility to create and communicate more for years.

This forms designer lets you create any business form, report, MICR check, scalable and three dimensional barcode and Chinese (Unicode) characters (or DBCS double byte). It works with the IBM iSeries native iDocs and inFORM’s iDocs Open Platform Document Management solution. 

iDocs Designer features color document support and support for XML and encrypted PDF formatted documents for the IBM iSeries and the open platform. 

With iDocs Designer, you can draw ovals, rectangles, text boxes, fonts, scalable barcodes (including QR codes), MICR fonts, and import multiple graphic formats. You can apply properties such as fill, size, borders, colors and textures to any drawn object. 

Based on the platform, this forms designer will work with a GUI (Graphical User Interface) mapping tool to map data from a print or spool file into the designed form. This will store this information for ongoing form-data merge operations. You can download print files or IBM spool files into the right pane to be dragged and dropped into appropriate locations on the form. You can apply multiple properties consisting of fonts, routing conditions, colors, burst and sort conditions, object and signature merges and more to the mapped data.
